What we do
Glasses are a luxury accessory. They are an important part of our look and, especially for those of us who wear our specs every day, it’s important they look and feel great.
But buying new glasses is often an overwhelming process, with too much choice but actually not a lot of variety.
As an independent opticians, we are able to source some incredible styles with fantastic colour combinations to suit all tastes and budgets. Yes we have handmade, award-winning designer frames, but also more economical, but absolutely stylish options too.
The main criteria for curating our collections is that every frame, regardless of price, needs to be a little different, even if that means a tiny bit of bling, a flattering and striking cat-eye shape, or a beautifully engineered piece hand-crafted in wood and carbon fibre.
Our aim is to take the stress out of choosing glasses, by giving you clear, informed advice on what style, shape, size and colour works for your individual look.
What happens during a styling appointment
In a nutshell – we help you to find glasses you love!
You don’t need to try on every pair in the studio (unless you want to). We make the process of choosing glasses easier for you by making a selection we think you’ll love, based on everything we learn about you during your appointment.
It’s all about you!
In a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, with refreshments, we discuss the best lenses that will meet your visual needs, your existing glasses – what you both love and dislike about them, past glasses you might have loved, colours you like to wear, and exactly how you want your glasses to work for you - whether you need them to make a statement, express who you are, or simply be in a colour you love that will make you happy. This information, and a fun questionnaire, will help us determine your dominant Style Personality - the starting point for successful eyewear styling.
Style Personality & Colour Type
Once we’ve established that you’d like to express your Creative or Classic style (these are just a few Style Personalities) we look at your individual colouring, so we can accurately advise you on colours and colour combinations for your eyewear, that will allow you to shine through, and not be dominated by your specs frame. We have a “colour collar” for every Colour Type, which allows us to illustrate to you the particular range of colours that will balance and harmonise with your natural colouring.
Let’s talk about your best features!
As well as advising you on the style and colours of frames, we’ll take into account your facial features to determine the best fit, in terms of depth and width, and show you how frames can accentuate or soften your natural features.
And finally…
While you enjoy your coffee, we’ll select between 8 and 12 frames we think will work for you – some that will work well as a neutral everyday-wear frame, some that will suit your working wardrobe, and some that will be amazing for socialising.
We will find you glasses you’ll love to wear, based on your style, personality, colouring and facial features.
